Founder's Note

During Holy Week of 1994, I began the mission at the San Juan de Dios General Hospital with just one family from La Limonada.
I started by introducing Christ to gang members, drug addicts, thieves, and people who had strayed from God's will. I consider this a GREAT honor, as it allowed me to see "the other side of the coin" in our society.
As I listened to their stories, I felt deep pain and thought to myself: if just one of us had been there for them during that "difficult time" in their childhood, they definitely wouldn't be who they are today.
One day, I found myself crying out to God: "Lord, help me prevent this rather than having to heal it." God's response was: "Work with children on prevention." That’s how Escuelita Limón began in the year 2000, providing a safe place for these children and offering them all-round care. This is why the ministry is called "Vidas Plenas" ("Full Lives"), because we understand that God desires for all of us to be fully blessed in spirit, soul, and body.
Today, for the glory of Christ, who died for each of us to redeem us, we have three Life Academies.
